    Also known as thinwall couplings. It's pot metal. Not aluminum. If it were aluminum the threads would strip out too easily.



    As for the flex and bx, magnetic is steel, non-magnetic is aluminum. Generally speaking, if it came from the manufacturer with the wires inside, it's bx. No wires inside, it's generally just called flex.
