I sell a lot on CL, and I've had my fair share of BS. The one that pissed me off the most was this May. I had a guy who was coming from about 2 hours away to buy a few light fixtures I had. We agree on a time, I run a little late, quit what I'm doing early so I can make it over to my building in time, and the guy never shows up. I wait an hour, and then leave because I was getting more and more pissed by the minute. I get a call a few days later from the guy saying he's trying to figure out transportation and wants to buy all 300 of them. I still haven't heard back.
Then my most recent one was a guy wanting to sell me a bunch of laptops and some other stuff. He said that he would drop them off. That was a month ago. I'm still waiting, which actually kind of surprises me. I've dealt with this guy before, and haven't had any problems until now.
I could write a book on all the times I've dealt with no-shows (or rather not dealt with them after ten emails, four calls, and one text later). Few people have any sort of common decency any more. I think another recent thread on here mentioned something about it and how the OP was surprised every time a stranger showed any sort of decency to him, even though something like that USED to be normal. Sadly, this is true. I truly believe that the morals and ethics of society are slowly degrading into a selfish no-one-matters-but-me attitude
