You would think, but unfortunately not always the case. It's like I tell people...I can only offer what I can offer. Its up to them to accept or decline. But I know what I can and cannot do and at what cost. As long as my bills are paid, kids and wife are taken care of, and I am making a little money that is all good, but I am not going to bust my back/butt for pennies either.

There is a TON of them around here now, that have this unfortunate mentality. Like I have said a few times over the last 2 or so years. At first, I did free metal pickups, and after almost a year, realized I was barely, and I mean BARELY making a profit. Now that I charge enough to at least cover gas, I see the $$$ a lot more.

Then, they can't deliver on what they've overpromised, such as having everything hauled by a certain date, or hauling "x" number of loads per day.
One of the people he said, was just an average guy with a truck, who would get 1 load, and then take the rest of the day off.

Another group of guys, from Maryland, brought in some heavy duty machines, took all the "big" stuff, and left one of their big machines for over a month, until it pissed him off, and he called them and told them he now owned it (in VA if something is left behind for more than 30 days, by law you own it)

    Thanks, me too!

Been spending the week with my family. Spring Break all this week so we been hitting up our community center's indoor pool.

My 6 year old is breaking a real pro at swimming. Her lessons start next month. Her, her sister, and my wifes 2 younger brothers and sister are all signed up for summer camp classes. Stuff that they love doing, and with our $99/month family membership, it is all free.
