I ran into a strange situation when my friend when to jail.

he had been hoarding a lot of high value scrap on the side of his father's house for months without cashing in. Then he got locked up for doing stupid things. He is still locked up and i went to visit him 6 days ago. anyway, his father called me and asked me if i wanted the scrap. it was a mixed feeling i had, but when he told me "i just want the stuff gone. it looks terrible on the side of my house" i agreed to take it.

between a little bit of my own, and his, that was a $300 load of scrap. it benefit us both, and i told my boy when i went to visit, and he understood and was ok with it. the police seized his truck anyway when he was arrested. But i came to help his dad, and got a good load.

is this anything like what you meant? somewhere for your people to turn when they are left with your stuff in the unfortunate event of your death? like who to ask about what? and how to handle your unfinished scrap business or possibly take it over should you die? that could be valuable to loved ones, but im not sure i fully understood your suggestion
