I just asked at my yard, and they take the aluminum pet food cans at can price ($.55 per lb, currently) if you take the labels off. Much better than sheet price.
My parents have two fat cats, and they save all their cans (pop cans, pet cans, tin cans, etc.) for me. It works out pretty well.
