My mom has a bunch of cats, every 2 weeks the recycling bin is full of steel and aluminun cans (she takes the labels off when she rinses them out so they don't stink). And every time they get put out for pickup somebody comes by and takes them before the truck shows up along with the aluminum pop cans (pisses her off but I don't care as long as they don't make a mess).
Whoever is taking them better watch out... The PD in a lot of towns consider raiding recycling bins at the curb as stealing, considering that the town itself or the company holding their waste management contract recycles those items for their own financial gain.
