    I haven't gotten to the logic side of the unit yet, but there should be some fairly significant boards, backplanes, and other PGM metals in there. Another site is telling me a few hundred in scrap $$. Working components would be more. What are the hard drive copper looking platters made out of?

    They are aluminum and fairly heavy. I sold a bunch of them on ebay at $17 for two. Shipping for two was almost as much ... $13 I think, but buyer's paid that too. Be careful not to scratch them if you go that route. They scratch very easily.
    Copper, brass, and Leather. 3 of my favorite things.
