before i take a car to the crusher i take the air bags,radio,heat/ac controls,computer,headlights,tail lights,door mirrors and toss those on ebay.
i also take sheet metal pieces like fenders,doors,hood,trunk and sell on craigslist. i also cut off the cat,take out the battery,take off starter,alt,any aluminum engine parts,cut out the wiring and strip it. those pieces i toss in my reserve pile. my reserve pile i have certain garbage cans for certain things 1 can i have aluminum engine parts,2nd can electric motors,3rd can stripped copper wiring and the pile next to my garbage can are my cats. when cans get full i just go out and get another one.
