What am i doing wrong to get junk cars????

took in the clean shredder scrap had 3,720 pounds. and came out with $362 split half with the guy. but still made about $180 which is still fine with me.
then next day took in a junk car was about 2,480# after i took the fender,door,hood,battery,cat,wiring out. still sitting in my reserve scrap pile lol. ended up with $231 for the car. then sunday i just picked up a 99 dodge neon sport r/t for $250. but first going to pull parts before it go's to the scrap yard. still waiting for it to stop raining so i can work on the 2nd load on the scrap metal the guy has.
