Define older. Do tv's with DPL chips count as older? If so...there is gold there! Seems from this link..DLP chips were developed back in 88'. That's old enough for me. Board had gold on it, an the chip to.

An here's a pic of the chip. An no, that's not mine, just a stock image from Google. The board it attaches to is also plated with gold here an there. I need to track down that thread. lol.
Anyhow..point of all this is..Yes there is gold in some tv's. Not a huge honking bar of it, but it can be found. I believe out resident Kiwi also found gold in older tv's. Maybe he'll chime in.
