Has anyone try to test LCD screens in broken monitors? That is, taking the monitors apart, pulling out the screens with all the wiring and testing just the screens? I googled a bit and found a place offering LCD test equipment. Not sure it's worth it, both in terms of time and money. If screens can be tested and are intact and without scratches and other physical damage, I am curious whether selling them on
eBay as parts would make much sense, especially if the screens are from older and smaller monitors.
I've been offered a stash of about 100 broken LCD monitors, most of them with no visible physical damage to the screens. Selling them whole to out of state scrap buyers is not cost effective, so I am curious if this is the way to go instead...
