I would think that if you remove the battery, if possible, and as much rubber and send them into one of the buyers here, you would make a few bucks. Check out the buyers section and see if anyone is in your area. I drive 2 hours to get to my buyer from here, and always make out better than local.
Never think about refining the gold yourself, it is very dangerous, which those videos don't tell people. Listen to the advice given to you above and here. Online videos can be great but I feel they can hurt more people than making them laugh.
