I certainly see your point Bear, but my Wife just used her continuity tester and it certainly is conductive metal. On the front of the board the individual circuits are isolated by clean tracks. The backside of the board is totally conductive though. There is on small isolated area in the back that is not coated, but rather has isolated tracks also.
