Yes, I did search on the forum for this, and I never found a thread discussing this. I recently gutted an old cell phone (Samsung Juke to be exact) and behind the keypad, there was a gold colored sheet behind the button receptors. I don't know if it is gold or something else, but what do y'all do with these. If there is any value, what do you sell them as? I would guess it would be the same for keyboard silver plastic stuff. See pics.

I have to confess to having no more idea of what that is than you do, I try to refrain from making a fool of myself by trying to look smart

That would be considered a high grade circuit board. You could sell for about 3 dollars a pound In today's market. . How much does it weigh? about 2 ounces?

I have no idea what it weighs. Its a lot smaller than in looks in the pic. About 2 1/2 inches ling, and a little bit thicker than paper. But 2 ounces sounds about right

Ok, best thing for you to do is take some scissors and cut out the contacts that look gold. They are plated. If you can keep this type of material together and just hang onto it you won't regret it. These are probably higher grade than SIMM cards, and a buyer here pays $30/lb for those. Keep in mind this is if you trim the contacts off....the whole sheet with all that mylar won't be worth that much. Just hang onto this stuff until you have a decent amount of it, and at that point you could put it on ebay or even better, find a home refiner to sell it to.
