Admin, or Mech if you know...Is thanks tied into rep? As I find sometimes I'll hit the rep button an get the "You've given out to much reputation today" but I've not actually done so. Other then giving thanks to a post. Heck I think giving PJ rep was the first time I've actually clicked on the little star an had it let me give someone rep.

An does being thanked give you rep also? I'll use myself as an example. I've received rep messages before, not very many mind you, but some. Yet my rep is near maxed or maxed according to the little bars under my name. Is this due to people thanking my posts? Am I just that awesome? Someone taking pity on me? A bribe to shut me up?(That obviously didn't work if so. I kid I kid! )

Yes thanks is tied into rep. Every time you give a thanks, you also give +1 reputation points.

I'll look into the limit and see if there is anything I can adjust.
