    forgotten auction

Well, I placed the minimum bid on a new auction a week or so ago for 30 towers. Forgot all about it until I was notified that I won. Picked up the items in Alabama today, stopping by a few thrift stores along the way and giving out my cards. Taking apart the stuff tonight and all towers are heavy steel cases (very little plastic). Another bonus is that I found one Intel D5400XS dual socket board that looks brand new and sells for $120+ used (latest ebay sales search). Will have to test it first, but good to get a few gems with the loads. Almost all units have nice Asus DVD RW's too! Paid $3 each for the towers plus some drive time/gas.

ya, i saw that one in Conyers, but I probably wont get it for the minimum bid

I found another Intel board with 16 gig Ram in it, plus an awesome video card. Here is an ebay listing of the same thing minus processor/ram/etc:

That auction in Conyers is up over $700. Not worth it for the regular stuff, but makes me wonder whats in the boxes
They also said all the hard drives were wiped and put in another box, but I'm guessing they are all 40gig and smaller. Time to let this one pass
