The fox is trying to screw you. If it IS copper weld, there should be 2 strands of solid copper, 1 strand of steel. Idk if I would try melt it. Who knows what the green coating is. Could be toxic when heated. Also, I wear safety glasses anytime I am near the stuff cuz it will jump up and bite you. I have the battle scars to prove that lol.
