It has been a few years since I started this thread. I had made a deal locally but that deal has just dried up......does anybody else in the eastern PA, NJ or NYC area have any scrap plastic buyer...
The guy I sell my boards would call it Motherboard Grade.
I would buy them from you in the Northeast PA region.
Thanks but I'm on the east end of PA that's just a little too far for me. But thank you anyway.
Thanks man, I will definatly be getting in touch with you about that, I'm only right up the road from you in stroudsburg. I'll send u a PM
Hi everybody. I was wondering if any of you knew of any buyers of LTL loads of ABS plastics in the NYC, Philly, or Newark areas? I have dealt with the big buyers before but I no longer have room to...
10-4 good buddy
Awesome load, But I want to give you a little advice on the copeland compressor. If you return them to most HVAC supply houses you can get paid a core fee for them. This can be anywhere from $35.00...
Plastics can be good money but they want 40,000lbs at a clip. Storage of that much is tough. I dealt with a company in White Plains, NY for plastics. I cant remember the name now and that bugs me...

On a forklift, Definatly pull the batteries and the forks. The rest would go as Unprepared Steel at most yards. Let them cut it up, you'll make more in the long run that way.
Welcome aboard!! Sounds like my first experience. Fun isn't it?
Thanks! That was going to be my next question, wheather you drained them out first or just zipped right into them with the torches. What is the general consensus here as far as draining them first...
Freonjoe, Thanks buddy you have just made my day!!
Yeah I mainly use a grinder myself, but plasma cutter, great idea. Gotta even quicker than a torch
Honestly I'm not sure, but, I'd be very surprised if that's silver. I agree with Mulden, I think this is probably aluminum
Do you scrap compressors? If so do you use a torch or grinder?
Lol I wasnt sure how to spell it, I typed how I thought it would be spelled on google and that popped up, must be something else lol.
Using a grinder will also heat them up, but not enough to...
Hi everybody. I'm new to this forum but have been running my own salvage gig for around 10 years. Part of my business is in compressor scrap. For years I've been using an angle grinder to cut open...
Hey,
High Voltage, I sent you a private message I'm not sure if you saw or not. Could you check it out and let me know what you can do for me? Thanks
It sounds like he is an employee of the yard, but, in my experience, if you walk in with cash in hand and know how to haggle and have a truck ready to take it away, a scrap yard will sell you...
Congrats on the gaylord of Electric Motors. Not a bad chunk of change for 51 hours of work.
Romex can be a good money maker. Its all about the amount of time it takes you to strip it though. ...
