Has that poor dog been exposed to MEK? :)
Don't have any advice on the buying end, but we used to get frustrated seeing all the good car parts at the yards that we weren't allowed to buy.
Carbs, wheels, complete 50's and 60's engines.,...
well done!!
Still thinking on this one - maybe an electromagnet? Note the 125 Ohm note on the side in the pic...Does RW mean "resistance wire?"
I'm thinking its a spool for an industrial welder, although I've never seen one that has such a shallow "groove" for the welding wire to sit in.
Hey i found a dime but its across the shop floor, stuck in some gum. Do you guys think its worth going over to get it...I mean its a long walk over, then I gotta clean it off. Oh, BTW, I hear...
Is that one of those all-aluminum Grummans? Great!!
does it have the 292 6cylinder? Lots of resellable parts there.
Wow! You weren't kidding when you said that was a big job. Really good video. The narrator is fine, but you might want to fix the part where he says you "service landlords" ;)
Don't want anyone...
Thanks guys. But do you have any trouble with air compressor tanks - do you usually cut them in half too?
Great idea on the trough...I did not think of that!
Ended up with a couple small compressor tanks (rust holes in the bottoms ) and a 250g empty oil tank. Used to be that yards around here would take compressor tanks as is as long as they were empty,...
Will a yard accept DIY baled cans?
Otherwise it would be neat for a sculpture or man cave art - build a wall with bales LOL
Thanks for the responses - lots of good info.
I passed this time around - the emacs went for about $6-8 each, but several boxes of cables, mouses (mice?), keyboards, etc went for close to $100 each...
Looking at several lots of emacs - close to 100 units being sold in groups of 6. Untested, no cords (might be able to get the cords and keyboards in another auction lot) and no mention of processor...
If you were disappointed that the movie TinTin wasn't about metal...
If someone forwards you an email called "car repair fails" and you see at least one on the list that you've done
(mine -...
I find a handful of greenbacks to be the best relaxation of all.
Julie, how many do you have?
yeah, all the money in their pockets :)
Christine, check into the 3 wheeler. Some of them are fairly collectible and you might make your money back quick on it in parts. Or maybe not :)
that was fast! good job
The last yard I used in Dayton takes the whole thing, minus compressor, as "unclean sheet" at $12 per hundred. They don't pay for compressors as motors but everyone just throws them in the pile next...
That's a great movie.
Freon, its a cartoon set in the 40's about a huge robot...I forget most of the plot but he befriends a little kid (and manages not to crush him LOL) and gets shot at by the...
awesome score, always nice when it starts to pay off.
How are you making out in terms of $/hr?
My favorite part of any episode was when they'd find a wrecked or abandoned ship or starbase. Call me weird but I like space junk!
Oh that makes sense, thanks.
