I save all my PVC pipe in the attic. When one of my copper pipes at home needs replacing, just put in the PVC and scrap the copper.

Get it on Ebay - they sell very well second hand for new businesses.
I ended up using one for my yard sales and the like - it makes handing out change a lot easier than an old ice-cream tub!
Man, I love this forum.

Motors price, or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely? Can't seem to open the darn things to see what's in em.
May I be the first to congratulate your generosity. That's a seriously cool thing to do.
Keep up the good work bro!
When I weighed out all the steel and boards in an LCD it totalled at least 20% higher than the copper and ali count ina CRT (although my size average for a CRT is only 20"). Plus there isn't a...

If there was a way you could also do it with those copper coated staples you get on cardboard boxes
Drill bits, knife sharpeners and hiking pole tips
There is a seperate grade for this called 'Nodule Scrap' which is wire under a certain length. I, too, just chuck it in with the rest of my insulated but I ALWAYS remove connectors - it just looks...
Aren't the rods in nuclear reactors graphite that absorb electrons?
I found a transformer like that in a fruit machine once. All the copper was baked into a plastic, and stuck fast. Did you bother to strip it or sell it as it is? I tried smashing a hell out of it,...

I've been umming and aahing whether to get all the licenses myself, so I'll be keen to know how your...
If it's manetic it isn't at least 11% chrome and therefore is not SS grade
if it's been near water (or outside) it won't be tainted at all if it's SS. Even ali develops a powdery residue after a while.
nope. but you can re-use the batteries in alarm clocks
You're going to need several tonnes every week to supply to can recyclers. Cans, if I'm not mistaken, aren't particularly pure because of the colouration on the outside, so your clamps (assuming...
The elements in hairdryers and tongs (and I believe coffee makers, but I may be corrected) are Nichrome, but they won't weigh a lot unless you've got loads. Not sure on spot price, but I doubt it's...
Don't foget there may be lead in the handset (or a disappointing block of steel). It'd be much better if you could get more than scrap though...
That sounds like a whole lotta hassle. Hope it all goes according to plan for you!
Having looked at older posts, plastic dishwashers seem fairly common in the states. I've done three so far in the uk and all had at least a steel body (one was even stainless WOOP), and only minimal...
