Has Anyone Ever Broke Down Hair Appliances?

I got some hair appliances again. I shared in the past about my findings with hair clippers. Now I have come across blow dryers, hair straightners and curling irons as well as hot curler set.
Also I had seen and can't remember which great helper but the wires in an automatic coffee maker to make the water hot are they the ones that are worth a lil more than copper?
Looking forward to some answers. Everyone have a great day and Happy Scrapping to all.

The elements in hairdryers and tongs (and I believe coffee makers, but I may be corrected) are Nichrome, but they won't weigh a lot unless you've got loads. Not sure on spot price, but I doubt it's as much as copper. I think your most valuable bit will be the power cords.
    Hope this helps!

I cut the cords and toss stuff like that in my shred pile. Just my $0.02.

I scrapped 2 big hair dryer things. Cut out the motors and other stuff. These had cast alum bases on them so It was worth it to break down.
