Nice find. Looks like it was kind of fun to take apart.
These were thrown away. I only spent about 20-30 minutes retrieving, transporting, cleaning the mud off and listing it for sale locally. I was asking $50 but took the first offer of $40. I guess...
I have been looking myself and there are some good opportunities if you have space to store stuff. Knobs etc. not bad but I don't have space for bigger items like controller boards. If I ever clear...
For where I live I think the main reason is distance. Our only scrap yard shut down a few years ago and people don't want to drive the hour to get to yard.
I only know because I pulled a bunch of it out of a place I work at. The connectors are still on the walls but the wire is out.
I found two but they are kinda far from you and I don't know if it would be economical but check out Indium Recycling and https://exotech.com/
My almost completely uneducated guess would be Mexico or Canada because if you lived close to the border like I do you could drive across. I can't imagine having scrap shipped even in bulk would be...
Is it token ring?
How are the Outer Banks holding out?
Just out of curiosity, what kind of aircraft is it? Does it have tail markings or other markings that would identify it? It would be an interesting story to know the history and what happened to...

Nice grinder. Makita blue.
Thank you for your help.

Thanks to those who posted civil comments, I will just get rid of it. I am new to scrapping and just wanted to know from the experienced members if I should mess with it. The consensus seems to be...
I thought about mining years ago, and I didn't, I thought the whole idea of digital currency was stupid. Now the hardware costs and electricity make it to expensive.
So is the stuff in the middle toxic in any way? It is very solid and looks almost like ceramic or glass. I have never seen one like this in an UPS.
What is the circular thing to the right and is it safe to open? I assume transformer coil but not sure. The middle has a hard substance with a tube in the middle and a screw was holding it from...
Joke? For free I was already planning the trip.
I took cast recently and still not happy with prices.
Oh yea, I need one too. The bed of my pickup was a bit lower to the ground than I would like on my last trip.
What scrapping tool or tools do you wish you had that you don't? I am contemplating buying a cordless angle grinder but cannot justify it because I have a corded one. It sure would be nice to not...
