I believe UBCs are typically a 3000 series. If you are remelting UBCs you would be best off making a 3000 series ingot and selling to a company that is going to make coil stock for BC manufacturing....
I think by the time they take the hit for the lump sum and taxes you end up with about 250 million.
Welcome from the bootheel. What part of Missouri are ya from?
Its a 4 year old post.
Have you shot the gun much and know that it is accurate?
At the smelter I worked at the crushed CRT tubes were fed into the blast furnace on a limited basis. You could not feed over a certain percentage of them in with the rest of the lead feed stock. ...
Since it is a die cast alloy I would suggest calling a die cast shop.
I don't know what alloys you have but most aluminum alloys are going be a few cents per lb more than LME and that's about it. All the alloys that you listed are specialty die cast alloys with very...
Wondering about aluminum prices in the southwest but then post pricing from a London magazine??????
What area? The current premium in the Midwest is around 7 cents per lb. LME is around 67 cents per lb.
You may need to check about Doe Run, last I heard they had years worth of back log to process.
I use an actual flux to clean mine. For about $10 you can buy enough flux to do thousands and thousands of lbs of lead. Stuff I get Frankford Arsenal CleanCast Lead Fluxing Compound 1 lb If you...
Lead will have to go to china
If you are doing it a lot I would get a respirator with a P100 filter. For limited use good ventilation should be fine.
Unless you have access to millions of lbs a month Kaiser, Sapa are not going to care. Alcoa produces its own primary aluminum so no matter what they wont care. Century is a producer of aluminum not...
Make sure you have good ventilation. For melting wheel weights a wire spider like what you would use to get stuff out of a deep fryer works great for removing clips. Depending on what size sinkers...
Why not just buy good metal for the die cast shop from a supplier of foundry die-cast alloy ingots?
I would think that with the huge primary aluminum industry the middle east has that exporting scrap to them wouldn't be a very good market.
Greetings from the bootheel.
How did you manage that?
What part of Missouri?
We have around 10 million or so lbs on the ground here. Course we make it though..
bump
how much ya got?
