Welcome from a fellow Kansan!
You should have a DM from me in your inbox. Thanks for the follow-up!
Not sure if this is of any use, but I know that we can ship a full truck (40k lbs of freight) from Kansas to Ohio for about $1700, which breaks down to less than a nickel a pound. Compare that to...
No problem. Thanks for considering us. Please also note that the published prices online are negotiable. Those prices are what we would pay for small quantities from the public. If you are ever...
Thanks, friend! You should have an email from me in your inbox.
Just curious if any of you pro scrappers have found a good, efficient way of breaking apart bales of wire. Doing so by hand takes a good bit of forever.
Any luck gathering together wire in your area?
Yes, freonjoe, we definitely do buy from the public. We just figured that since scrap yards have to sell their product to someone, why not us? Especially given that we can sell back the copper...
Thanks miked. We actually do advertise to and buy from the public, but in certain territories we have attempted to buy directly from the scrap yards, with the caveat that we will not compete with...
I'll be completely transparent here. Compared to most of the guys on this forum, we are relatively new to the recycling business. We only deal in copper wire, as we are a chopper. Obviously one of...
We utilize a granulator for cat-5
That would be what we consider "Grade 3". DM me if you would like to discuss details.
Dunemaul, we would definitely make a trip to Orlando periodically if you could gather together enough wire. Let me know how much you think you could put together every 1-2 months, and we can...
Just curious to see how many out there have tried to connect with your customers through Twitter, Facebook, etc? Any success?
Hey nalle09, just wanted to say "hey" to a fellow Floridian! We're located in Cape Coral, but are in Fort Myers frequently.
Hey taterjuice, where in north central Kansas?
Cheers! We also have a copper wire processing location west of Wichita, KS! Nice to hear from people back home!
Got your email. We will be in touch!

Thanks for your interest, jghilino! I've passed on your message to our Kansas buyer, so he can get in touch with you to see if this is possible.
Good tip, thanks! I am now officially a paying member!
Most good yards will give you more for bare bright copper. I am not a scrap yard, but a scrap wire buyer, and even we pay $.15 more for bare bright.
Greetings all!
I am one of the owners of Wire Buyer, a processor and granulator of insulated copper wire. We have branches in Kansas and SW Florida, and are interested in buying your wire. We...
CMC in Tampa is a great place to do business. Very friendly staff, easy ingress and egress.
Just wanting to say hello to the group. We're happy to be a part of this forum, and look forward to meeting you all! We specialize in granulation of copper wire.
Cheers!
