I guess I should hope that my luck holds out then. I too have a commercial location and a
forklift so all that is wasted plus the time if i have to take it to a terminal. I have been lucky in that they have been pretty punctual as far as pick ups goes. the bigger problem for me recently is the skyrocketing cost to ship ! It's up 50% for me (in the last 6 months) from my original choice so now I get 3 quotes and take the lowest which so far is almost always $50 less than the highest quote. There are also class calculators online so that you can calculate your class of freight . Lower classification
usually equals lower cost so now I try and pack it all as dense as possible and make my pallets at least and over 1000 lbs each on a standard 40 x48 pallet.
I am sure Gorven could shed some light on this whole process as I believe he know more than most when it comes to LTL.
Any helpful hints to get the best possible pricing would be helpful.
