    For E's and I's I put on the driveway so the layers are slightly angled with the ground. I then take a 5 lb sledge and give it a few whacks. The layers will slide left towards the ground breaking up the epoxy/wax/glue. You can then pull them apart easier. It's still not great, but it works. An air hammer also works pretty well. I've found anything that can break up the glue helps tremendously.
