I used to drill or cut off all rivets to get clean aluminum, then later just used a sawsall to cut off the pieces with the plastic and steel rivet leaving some aluminum so I could turn in those pieces in as dirty alum. Left some meat on the bone! Then when prices went down just started to scrap some things as dirty and move on. No longer cut off the vinyl straps on a pool lounge chair! LOL
