use the truck to do the pick ups, queue up copper bearing steel and when scrapped out put into trailer.
that way your truck is always empty and ready to go pick up more things, nothing wrong with holding them for a while
until you get to pulling out the motors, then loading them onto the trailer.

steel's ok but a truck load of copper pulling a trailer load of shred is much sexier, you drive into the yard with the real deal then.
even if you didn't pull the copper and just sold them as motors you'd soon build enough up to take in a full load.
you already see the value in cutting the cord, but to get to the motor you'll get more wire too.
stainless steel possibly in the washers & dryers, brass bits, cast alloy, mate the're like a box of chocolates,
your just eating the wrappers selling them as scrap steel.
You got it a trailer is what i need. "use the truck to do the pick ups, queue up copper bearing steel and when scrapped out put into trailer."
