    I still cut them out. Granted I dont do many of them but my yards will pay me 81 cents a pound for clean aluminum wire.

    And you get the difference between 'shread' & 'heavy iron' for the iron.
    Thats my deal with a guy for fridge motors.
    I scrap it, keep the copper wire (2Lb each) & sell the iron at heavy iron prices & give him the money for the iron.
