i took apart a large microwave..just wondering

I found thick pieces of solid silver in many of the magnetrons. Some are copper/silver alloy, and some are silver plated copper, but that thick metal ribbon in the very center is silver in many cases.

Are these defiantly silver? Have they been tested?
Do do you have a info source? I really want to find out for sure.

I haven't found anything on the net yet about it.
