I am seeking refractory materials for a melting furnace.

I cannot seem to find a vendor close to me I would drive a couple hundred miles even as I need a quantity that gets pricey with shipping costs. I am referring to IFB30 to be specific. These "fire bricks" are the porous white variety 30 designates 3000 degrees Fahrenheit rating that I believe I require. From what I costed it out I think the bricks cost less than pourable refractory quantity and I would not have to deal with the chemistry of a pourable mold formula there are a few important variables with the latter method that I dont feel I know all I should about how to achieve success maybe a person or persons in SMF has some knowledge I would expect they might have some questions for me I might be flawed in any or all of the idea.
