    See if your yard has a "harness wire" category. PSU pigtails with the ends on are like 48-49% recovery. You should be getting a bit more for those than your low grade wire.

    I have checked with my one yard, they literally only have 1 category.... "Insulated Copper Wire" and it has been at $0.40/lb for almost a year now. The other yard close to me has at least a couple more categories (christmas light which is very low paying, romex which is much higher paying, and then insulated copper wire, which is pretty much everything else.....)

    KSS - same here in CT -I just checked the yard on Monday and it was .40 a pound for 'insulated copper wire' with ends off .

    I keep all the end/plugs on mine and get $0.40..... Never get hassled about it.
