I have taken my magnetic business cards to potential business clients. I would not waste my time in residential housing unless I did not have a vehicle to do the pickups from businesses.

With businesses you have the potential for regular loads and can even get paid to remove it. Early on I stopped picking up computers from individuals even when scrap prices were much higher.

My advise move on you have the very best resources for the scrap business here, go for the bigger deals. 73, Mike

Once you become a paid member you can look for and read a thread I started that explains how to make a sales call. Do not mistake what you are doing is a sales call.

READ more of the old threads and you can expand what you can do to make money. You must fit it to your situation. One I used that someone else on the forum shared: I went to a "safety house", business that sells and services fire extinguishers. I picked up a pick up truck load mostly empty fire extinguishers. More to it than a quick answer here but this type of small connections you could make.

Want more individual pick ups. One of our members pays $5 for washer or dryer. Stipulates that the washer or dryer be in the drive ready to put into his truck. Normally there is other stuff to pick up. Many still work and can be sold other have parts that can be sold before they are scrapped. Find you niche. 73, Mike
