Pirate, what is the difference between this
Ten (10) pounds of hallmarked pewter scrap in a medium flat rate box, lb melting | eBay
    And this
Recycled Scrap Old Pewter 7 Pound 4 Oz lot of 9 Ingots Reloading Casting Crafts | eBay

Thought the corn cobs were kinda cute. I have one of those cast iron cornbread pans getting rusty outside right now. I suspect it is just easier to handle in ingots?

    BIN vs auction.

Also notice they arent sold listings.

I've seen it go on eBay as low as 4/#, and as high as 12-15/#

I think it comes down to repeat buyers. The ingots are much easier to work with for the people doing the casting. For instance, i have a thick pewter serving tray that is about a 16x13 oval with a thick lip around it. Much easier to work with in ingot form vs that huge plate. But if you arent an established seller, you might not command that higher price at first.
