    A pair of wire cutters that open wide enough. Pinch the brass piece half way down threw the plastic, Then "Bite them off" while turning the cutters. Best when its cold, the plastic breaks easier.

    Or the hammer method. Might loose half the brass pieces flying around during the smashing
