    all servers are NOT equal . some are worth $35 in scrap value, some are worth well over $200 scrap value. servers are like catalytic converters, ya pretty much gotta know what your buying.
    That said .20/.25 is my max. the value in resale is only what some one will pay. and selling and shipping is a job all its own.



    we did over 80,000 lbs of servers this past year. the average return was .56 per lb.
    chances are this guy expects resale value. If he does don't waste much time on him valuable time could be spent on some one who is a realist. About half the servers we scrapped last year were working minus hard drives and, worth new between $600,000 to over $1 M each.

    There out there, companies are still paying to have them hauled off. That is the hard part of escrap. finding the right connection. Hope this helps. mcw
