I once came across a dishwasher motor that had 2 windings of copper and 4 that were alum windings. The copper was red coated and the alum was more of a redish orange.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to reply, I have taken all of the opinions and as well done a little research around the forums using the handy dandy search function and have found a lot of useful information regarding the scrapping business. I am a part-time newbie scrapper just trying to learn the ropes. I apologize for any inconvenience and/or frustration caused by this thread. I have come to the conclusion that using the search function around these parts is my new best friend, can easily find my answer within a few minutes of good old reading. Hope everyone has a blessed and eventful scrap day.
