We did a "cleanout" of a computer store basement and hauled 2 1/2 truckloads of empty computer carcasses to the local yard (2 mile away). To keep a good customer we split the yard ticket with him 60/40.

The last clean out I did I charged the lady. But as stated it was agreed that she would pay for junk removal. Most of it was junk that went straight to the dump. I did get one trailer and truck full of stuff to go through. I think if you are doing a clean out you should get paid for your service. If you are doing loading and hauling of someones scrap they will probably want a cut but they are still paying for your service.
