Cool tip, easy. Here's one tip of mine. I leave a few magnets on the trailer fenders so I can hold a strap/hook in place long enough to go to the other side and cinch it up.
That's brilliant! You just saved me from one of the few things in life that is sure to raise my blood pressure, especially after fourth or fifth time it happens on the same strap.

    Thank you.

    Thank you.
You're welcome. In the past I would use a rock or a heavy piece of wood/scrap and lay it over the strap on the fender which held it enough to go cinch it up. Or I would toss the buckle end over the load and the weight of it would sometimes hold the hook in place.

Light bulb went off later regarding using a magnet. Much easier/less frustrating. I use 2 magnets to hold the heavy trucker strap.
