I hate buying "whole sets" of bits, cause I keep breaking/stripping the same ones. I have a ton of random bits that I never use. I need to go to costco and buy a pallet of the ones I use up every day...
My local menards does sell individual torx, hex, and most other common bits. I keep my Gearwrench ratcheting set with me at all times, just the ones I used to strip all the time I have swapped out for titanium bits of the same style. At a little under $2 for a 2-pack of a certain type, it seems like alot for 2 bits. But considering ive been using the same #2 phillips bit for well over a year now (and I do alot of projects) I really dont think you can beat it
