I recommend you do a lot more scraping before you jump off that bridge. Get some money in your pocket and experience under your belt. Try sripping wire by hand for a while. Some like to while watching tv. I would stay away from stripping stranded wire in the house. All those little bits of copper wire stuck in the carpet, not good.
