Bin welding and cutting since I was 12 and have taken 2 years of local courses under a journeyman welder when I was 14-16. Also worked in a welding shop for 3 years, not trying to sound cocky, but I have burned more welding rods in my my 12 years than some people will in ten life times lol. I was into heavy manufacturing. Burned 500lbs of welding rod and 5 50lb spools of mig wire in one year. When I took my welding course, we had to learn how to gas weld with oxy-acet for 2 months before we were even allowed to use the arc welder, and we did not use filler rod or brazing rods, just good ole fusion welding lol. My welding instructor still amazes me to this day, his welds are just beautiful and he can use any kind of welder and weld any kind of material. I especially like watching him weld up engine blocks, plain and simple in my opinion CAST is the hardest of any materials to weld.
