When trying to get the gaylord boxes without going broke I have found it is easiest to talk to factories or warehouses that use them all the time. Most of them are willing to come off the boxes that they receive for little or nothing. I worked out a deal where I pay $1 per skid and get the boxes for free. Around here there are a lot of guys that run around with skids on trucks and stop off at factories or other shops that may need them and sell them for a buck or two depending on the size and the shape.
