My yard is 45 minutes away, the closest and easiest to get to that accepts mixed scrap. There are other local places within a couple minutes away, but they only take non ferrous metals and at a lesser price, so everything goes to my yard in Manville, TX.

    92 F250 extended cab diesel
    16ft utility trailer
homemade 9x10 utility trailer with sideboards (This usually sits on the side of the shop, getting filled with trash until I make a run to the dump.)
35 HP 4x4 tractor with loader and homemade pallet forks.
    2003 toyota Corolla

I live 30 miles out of town, so the corolla gets a lot of use for scouting and picking up microwaves, computers, etc. It gets 35 mpg, so hauling in a trunk full of copper, car batteries, and small electric motors is even more profitable that firing up the truck some days.
