actually the metro is a 3 cylinder 1.0L, pulled the head and had it rebuilt last year but it didnt get enough compression, i thought the head rebuild would be enough for sure since it had 2 burnt valves, but im still getting compression in the 110-120 range so now im going to have to pull the motor and rebuild the short block, i can get the parts for $150 and my engine builder will be in the $200-$300 range assuming the crank is reusable. It has 150k miles on it so i dont know. I am planning on swapping out the crank pulley with an aluminum one and swapping the camshaft with a metro xfi cam to get the mpg up higher. Gonna go ahead and rebuild the tranny myself while the engine is out. The tranny rebuild kit is just $60 so why not. Thats the best thing about having a 3 cylinder is the parts are so friggin cheap.

93 chevy pick up 4.3L V6 good on gas when scrapping through the city and on the 60 mile round trip to the scrapyard. Future plans are a trailer 6x8 just to start off with.

I see you are in Ma also
I had Wright in 1825 Fall River Avenue Seekonk, MA 02771 build it
Then I had them add lots of extra D rings
On the Drivers side I have 3 of the 4" wide strap winches installed. When I know the vehicle is nothing but junk I toss the strap right over the top
Set of plow lights that come on as backup lights on low beam and a switch for high beams to use as a work light
Harbor Freight 12K winch on the front and a 8K Ramsey REP winch under the first car
As you can see, slight beaver tail and the ramps slide into the trailer so they are easy to get and store out of the way
I had the lip they sit in extended all the way across the trailer so they can be adjusted to any width
I can and have towed dually's. I pull them onto the trailer until the outside wheels almost touch the plow lights, Then tie them in place

I use a 1992 Chevy Silverado c2500. 4.3l, auto. Got it for free from my grandpa and he bought it from a power plant where it was a service truck. I've beat the hell out of it and it still keeps on running. I love my chevys. I've also got a Jeep Commanche that I inherited from my other grandfather, but it's not a daily driver.

2005 Silverado ext cab and also a homemade 4'x8' trailer that has paid for itself many times over. The truck is my daily driver back and forth to work and the scrapping vehicle, its been getting a lot of miles and wear and tear.

Picked up a second(third?fourth? if you count my yard lol) truck recently. Got it at auction.

It is a 1998 GMC 3500 Crew cab 4x4 dually.
Has the 454 and auto tranny.

Drove it home, registered it today.

It has a giant enclosed maintenance box on the rear, but it is rusty. I will take it off and replace with flat or dump bed hopefully.

Needs tie rod ends, ac compressor clutch, 2 tires, heater fan. Little things.

I am into it now for under 2k
