I apologize for being a jerk, can't help it. That is one nasty run-on sentence. I'm sure my fix is far from perfect, but it is an example. Try:

I am looking for a floor scale. It must be big enough to place a normal palate on and it must weigh in 1# increments. I am not sure weather I want 5,000 or 10,000 capacity. Also, it must have a digital readout. There are so many different ones out there. Why do some sell on ebay for 500 and then when you call a local scale dealer he wants over 1500? Is there a difference and which one would you buy?

    .

Sorry, I can't help you with answering your questions. Hopefully others will chime in.
