My yard does not even deduct weight for cardboard boxes unless it's a rather large box. I have a large amount of Flat Rate Priority Mail boxes that my neighbor threw out by the caseload. They are small but work great for smaller nonferrous scrap. Buckets they just dump out on the scale and then shovel the scrap into their bins after it is weighed.
