It all depends on how much time you want to devote to it. If you consider your own labor to be free, then go ahead and strip it. Otherwise, sell it as neoprene and move on to the next breakdown project.
If you value your labor at zero I have a job for you.
What is a bunch? I might be interested if there is enough of it.
I don't strip aluminum wire, the plastic is harder than copper wire. You will make more money at the scrap yard if it is striped, it's up to you if it is worth your time or not. Some yards won't buy it if it's not striped, you might want to call your yard first and see.
I strip my larger grade aluminum wire. My yards pays $.80 a pound for clean.
thanks for the replies.. prob about 200 feet.. my yard says .30 cents a pound for insulated aluminum wire.. that sound right??.. we hard a hard time working thru the english/spanish language barrier haha
