Yep, those that I have seperated, are glued.
What I do is place the complete item in a vice, leaving about half above ther jaws. Then I use a pair of pliers or vice-grips to bend the housing enough to break the glue and pry off with a thick bladed screwdriver. (It will be magnetised for life, lol)
May sound tedious, so much depends on how many you plan to tackle. btw, wear eye protection.
