    yeah its pretty normal, like you stated there are lots of scrappers out there so things can be a little competitive at times.

    for me though steel and tin are a good base because volume amounts are easier to find, and if your careful, even on the bad weeks iron will keep a plate of food on the table a fuel in my truck so i can go hunt more scrap. oh and a quick prayer when i leave out never seems to hurt either.

    think of metal like a sand witch.

    You are the bread.

    In the middle the heart of the sand witch is the meat AKA "Ferris Metal"

    Now on this sand witch you like mayo, mustard and lettuce. AKA "Copper alum and brass"

    While you dont have much on the sand witch they still make it taste that much better.
